President's Report - May 2013

Wednesday, May 22, 2013

The next couple of months are going to be very busy in CALI with our district elections being held for Governor and Director positions at all May meetings and our annual conference being held June 6th – 8th in Santa Clara. There will be a golf tournament, pre-conference seminars and several educational classes including another NLITE for newly licensed investigators. All district governors will get complimentary admittance to the conference as a benefit of service to your districts.

Members of the SCIF RFP Committee met with State Fund again on April 22 to further discuss CALI’s concerns about the Vendor Management Companies (VMCs) and proposed processes that California licensed investigators will endure once the VMC contracts are signed and the new vendor management model is in full effect. Several issues were discussed and a summary of the notes taken during that meeting can be found on the CALI website here. We are meeting with SCIF again on May 29th to continue our efforts to ensure SCIF and their VMCs adhere to the Memorandum of Understanding we drafted with them in March and remain committed to considering the needs of California Private Investigators in the continued creation and implementation of their new model.

We are always looking for informative and interesting articles from our members for the monthly eNewsletter. If you fancy yourself an average or higher writer and have an interesting case, trick of the trade or story to tell, please submit your articles to Jerry Packer at info@cali-pi.org and look forward to being a new published author.

Your votes and input are valuable so please attend your May district election meetings and run or vote for District Governor and District Director.
