ABOUT NLITENewly Licensed Investigator Training & Education (NLITE) is an introductory course that is the foundation of CALI’s Professional Development Program. The course covers the basics that every new licensee needs to know in order to begin a career as a Private Investigator in the State of California. NLITE provides an overview of the profession, the must haves when starting and operating a business, the laws that new PI's must be familiar with, ethical issues and professional responsibilities. Each attendee will leave with the practical knowledge and tools needed to be a successful Private Investigator and business owner. WHO SHOULD ATTENDNLITE is an introductory program for newly licensed investigators. We welcome all CALI members and nonmembers. COURSE OUTLINE

Hotel Discount Program for CALI Members PRESENTERSFRANK HUNTINGTON III, CPI – CALI Chairman of the Board FRANCIE KOEHLER, CPI, CLI, CCDI – CALI Government Affairs Committee Chair and CALI Past President CHRIS REYNOLDS – CALI Treasurer and CALI Past President Mr. Reynolds provides ongoing training and seminars to school districts and private businesses related to sexual harassment and discrimination. In the past 31 years he has worked on behalf of over 95 different school districts and other educational entities, assisting them with internal investigations. The majority of school district investigations are referral based from local employment law firms representing districts. In June 2014 Mr. Reynolds received the Distinguished Achievement Award from the California Association of Licensed Investigators. The DAA is the highest award given to CALI members and represented Mr. Reynolds work on behalf of CALI, the private investigation industry and his lifetime career as a private investigator. In February 2007, Mr. Reynolds received the CALI Private Investigator of the Year award by his peers for outstanding achievement on two high profile homicide cases in Sonoma County which resulted in the acquittal and dismissal of first degree murder charges against both parties. The PI of the Year Award is second highest honors CALI bestows on its members. In March 2009, he received the Legislative Excellence Award from the California Association of Licensed Investigators (CALI) for achievements in legislation on behalf of CALI and private investigators in California For more details go to http://cdrpi.com/insurance-defense-investigations/ TIM RICHARDSON – CALI Member Mr. Richardson attended San Diego State University where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English. He then attended Thomas Jefferson School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor, graduating with honors. Mr. Richardson is admitted to the California State Bar and the U.S. District Court Southern District of California. He is a member of the California Association of Licensed Investigators, the National Council of Investigations and Security Services and the San Diego County Bar Association. RENEE A. CERVO – Newly Licensed And Experienced Investigator Training And Education Committee Chair Ms. Cervo has a BA in Psychology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and a MA in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the City University of New York. Brooklyn College. Before becoming a private investigator, Ms. Cervo worked for two of the bay area’s top asbestos litigation firms and in Human Resources at Fortune 500 financial services companies. Ms. Cervo is also a member of the Association of Workplace Investigators and serves on the Seminar and Webinar Committee. She will be attending the Association of Workplace Investigators Training Institute in 2019. All materials will be made available via the CALI website or through email. Every effort will be made to make this a "paperless" educational experience. MEMBERSHIPNLITE attendees will have the option to join CALI at a special one time $99 rate for a year of membership. This opportunity will only be offered on the day of the event.
