The California Association of Licensed Investigators is the largest private investigator association in the world. Our goals are to advance the investigation and security profession through education and legislation.

The Association has a full time lobbyist in Sacramento and we partner with the National Council of Investigation and Security Services (NCISS) in Washington D.C. to support their legislative efforts on behalf of CALI.

In addition, CALI provides a free, one day training to any licensed investigator in California licensed less than one year (NLITE).

With over 1500 members, the California Association of Licensed Investigators is the largest private investigator association in the world. Our membership consists of experts in every aspect of Investigations and Security as well as having members located in every corner of California. Additionally we have members worldwide and in every state.

CALI monitors legislation which may affect Private Investigators and Private Patrol Operators.

Protecting the investigative and security professions is one of our chief goals. We dedicate our resources and energy to make certain that we have the most viable and effective legislative program possible.

CALI's award winning journal and its featured articles will now be available online through this website to our membership. CALI articles are written by CALI members and experts in the topic they are writing about.
