How to Join CALI

Classifications of Membership

• ACTIVE An individual who is licensed by the State of California to practice Private Investigations or Private Patrol Operations, and whose principal place of business is in California. Annual membership dues are $175.00.
   
• ASSOCIATE: An individual residing outside the State of California, who, in his or her own jurisdiction, is qualified under the respective laws or regulations to operate as a Private Investigator or Private Patrol Operator, and whose principal place of business is outside of California. Annual membership dues are $150.00.
   
• AFFILIATE: An individual who is not a licensee, but who is an employee of a licensed Private Investigator or Private Patrol Operator or an exempt agency. Annual membership dues are $100.00.
   
• SERVICE & INDUSTRY: An individual who provides services and/or products relating to the investigative or security professions. Annual membership dues are $250.00.
   
• STUDENT: Any individual who does not qualify for Active, Associate or Affiliate membership, but who is currently enrolled in a private or state university, community college or private accredited vocational institute and undertaking a course in criminal justice and/or private investigation discipline may be e eligible for Student membership. Annual membership dues are $75.00
  

Active and Associate members will receive a membership plaque.
