The Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (Bureau) has updated the Firearms Training Written Examination. Changes to the written examination include:
1. Updated the Bureau’s logo on the cover page,
2. Updated question 37 to conform to current law,
3. Created three (3) versions of the examination: Examination A, Examination B, and Examination C, to ensure integrity of the examination and examination process, and
4. Revised the passing score to 86 percent (86%) or 45 out of 52 correct answers.
A physical letter will also be mailed out to all Training Facilities on Friday, January 8, 2021 reiterating the changes above.
Training Facilities must reach out to the Bureau via e-mail at Facilitiesandinstructors.dca@dca.ca.gov for a copy of the updated examinations.
